JASON WINSHELL PHOTOGRAPHY
I am a freelance photographer, artist, journalist, software engineer and aficionado of the
ordinary. I shoot
studio and environmental portraiture, editorial, news, and documentary
photography.
I work as the photo editor, a reporter and a photographer
for the SF
Public Press. The San Francisco Public Press is a local, nonprofit, noncommercial news organization covering economy, civics and streetscape in the Bay Area.
I give street photography lessons through Vayable. Vayable is a San Francisco startup that connects local guides throughout the world with vacationers who are looking for a special travel experience. Vayable is part of the emerging "sharing economy."
In a past life I programmed computers. While working at Pixar I was
badly beaten at ping-pong by John Lasseter.
About once a month I'm
mistaken for Steven Spielberg.
